Library & Information Science - Online Minor Degree Program

The core courses for a Library & Information Science Minor are offered completely online. Designed for the practicing professional as well as the pre-service education major, completion of the five core courses and a valid North Dakota Teaching Certificate qualifies the student for the LM03 School Library Media Specialist credential. Nine additional semester hours of specified coursework -- also offered online -- and a valid North Dakota Teaching Certificate qualifies the student for the LM02 School Library Media Specialist credential.

All courses from Valley City State University are developed and taught by faculty who are experts in the field, the majority of whom possess a terminal degree for academic librarians, the Master of Library Science (MLS) from an ALA-accredited institution.
